Name: Claire Sauze
Program: Undergraduate Research Assistant
Date Joined: May 2025 – August 2025

Bio: Claire Sauze is an undergraduate student going into her last semester of an Honours Physics degree at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Her honours thesis explored the velocity dependence correction for charge determination of exotic nuclei. She is interested in the future of nuclear energy, the development of Small Modular Reactors, and is excited to get experience within the field of additive manufacturing. At ANGAM, she worked on laser-directed additive manufacturing of Inconel 617. Outside of academic pursuits, she is a member of the Saint Mary’s University varsity soccer team.

Name: Logan Krezan
Program: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Date Joined: Spring/Summer 2024

Bio: Logan Krezan is currently finishing up his undergraduate degree in the Mechanical Engineering Co-op program. He joined the lab in May 2024 as a Research Assistant. He worked on the NRCan project for small modular reactors (SMRs). In the lab, we are investigating metal additive manufacturing applications for SMRs. Logan assisted in the sourcing, characterizing, and designing experiments for different metal alloy powders. We will use this to determine the best use cases for metal additive manufacturing of specific alloys for parts in SMRs.
